my johor trip went great despite the heavy traffic on a sunday and losing our way from one place to the other(we lost our way like 2, 3 times).

These were the things we had to do:

1. keep track that the 3 cars are in-line

2. make sure we 4 families didn't leave anyone behind

3. deciding which route to take to reach our destination

4. waiting for each other as we each did our own shopping

So as we reached my aunt's place, we did our wow's, ooh's and aaah's. we felt like we were at aloha loyang. at least i felt like. the place was nicely decorated with a beautiful scenery and a peaceful environment. an ideal place to perform yoga. hahaha.

We then resorted to having our breakfast cum lunch due to our ever-so 'punctual' arrival.

We then conquered this high-table with high-chairs at the balcony. we continued munching on satay, plain lontong, watermelon, starfruit, chicken-fingers and all the kuihs so that we could still retain our seats. kekekkeke.

there were quite alot of people and we weren't really that close to this side of the family so we kind of entertained ourselves. hahaha. like orang gila. we took millions, no make that billions of pictures. ariff discovered the black&white function in my camera and his hands went clicking away. in fact, all our hands too.

we then tried to capture the 'perfect' picture of us jumping.

(the photographer was going, "can you all please jump together????")

and the shot that entered the 'walk of shame' goes to....

this picture is exclusively published here. you won't find it anywhere.
(ceh macam bagus je. hahahah)

atie looked like she was in a wrestling ring if only she had more flesh on her.

kynn looked like she was tired and wanting to have a sit or squat.

i looked like i was shaking my bootie and feeling feeling like beyonce.

(a very ugly position to be in)

shasha wished she had wings to fly.

and we didn't look like we were attempting to jump. not even close.

After trial(s) and error(s), this shot finally qualified into the walk of fame.

big-star-jump-everyone!! kynn's legs were too long so they were abit difficult to leave the ground so its not her fault. we totally understand. heheheheh.

while we cousins were waiting to leave our aunt's place, we picked a different spot to sit at the balcony and i was caught red-handed by kynn biting on my lips. i did that since i was in secondary school? primary school? hahhaha.

i have dry lips and i love biting them. during secondary school, zuli would demonstrate how i'd bite on them and it was so buruksss! hahahha.

old habits die hard. its been proven.

So after our stops at kipmart, marrybrown, taman perling's shell and angsana, we made our way to stulang for seafood. oh my black pepper crab... i'm missing you guys already.

So before our food came, as per usual, our fingers started clicking away. (again)

in case you guys were wondering how my cake baking turned out, that's my cake in the oven. not the cake that comes out after you eat but the cake for you to eat. hahaha, okay sorry for being lame. =p it might be because of this flu. i cant taste my ribena no more! argghh...

i just got back from going to one of my grandma's sister's house and i dressed up today just for one house. tsktsk. but nevermind, tomorrow i'm dropping by johor to go to my grandma's another sister's house. her daughter married a johor resident and they invited us over. and guess what time we have to be ready. at freaking 10am! (and i woke up at 3pm today. hoho.)

i'm actually kinda excited to go. and thank god we can wear casual tomm. i'm wearing my stripes zara top! hahahha. action abit, because my first zara purchase ok! everyone knows i'm a cheapskate and won't spent so much on clothing but i guess, there's always an exception! hehehehe.

i've bought my little cousin her hi-5 top for her belated birthday. i specially dragged my family down to marina the other day just to buy it. but it was all worth it. there were more choices there than vivocity and i got to buy a pair projectshop flip-flops because i realised my reef ones have stink! hahahha. i practically wear them to school everyday and it has adopted a horrible stench! thanks to my sweaty feet and sweaty palms. i think i can get a bath just by rubbing my hands(and feet) on myself. yucks.

Ok, continuing my intended posting on the marble-cake-baking tryouts, here are some pictures i took after my cake was sent into the oven.

this was post-baking preparations. it was a mess and my dad was being the sweetest dad in the world. he helped in the washing while i started to clean-up the table. i made some marble cupcakes too and i think those tastes better.

and the final product?

TAAAAAADAAAAAA!!

my apologies for not updating sooner. it's been like 18 days? 19? ok, make that 20. To sum it all up, I had a great raya with my family, relatives and friends. There were some complications planning for the raya with my sec peeps but it was a success!

I think there's nothing much for me to say. let the pictures do the talking. oh yes, my try-outs at cake-baking was a success. but it pretty much landed in the bin cos no one really wanted to eat it except me. haha. i have the pics and will upload them in the next entry. As for now, enjoy my raya pics and notice the change in my outfit! and yes, they're from previous rayas'. I only got one baju kurung for this raya which i wore for the first day. And a kebaya which i realised i didn't fancy that much. =p

That was us watching pontianak menjerit.(ghost shout.haha.bad translation,i know)And I was busy with my chicken and cherryade. We were screeeeaaaammmiiinnngggg, like the pontianak as well.

.cousins in blue.

My 1st sis really spoils the pic ah.. we could have celebrated chinese new year. We wore red for the 3rd day to kynn's house and we had teppanyaki. our fabulous chef cik piah was in the house and her nasi goreng was yummylicious!! (you can stop drooling now)

me (emma), cik atie (aunt), sis (yatie)

And after all the teppanyaki, we all got abit stressed out. Just look at our faces.

Moving on, there was a model-cannot-make-it trying to make it. so how? can make it or not? hahaha.

This day was the funniest. We originally initiated to go our whole stretch of grandma's house but everyone wasn't at home. We didn't know where to go so the nearest place to go was kynn's dad(which is my uncle) siblings/relatives home. So first we went to the one near geylang. After that, my grandma wanted to see kynn's dad mother so we headed down to eunos.

We had 2 cars so me, kynn, her small bro and her dad had to walk from geylang to eunos. K wait, aren't those places the same? ok nevermind. my uncle said that it was very near and only a 10 mins walk. you heard me, i walked from geylang to eunos. with my high-heels believe it or not. and it had just rained and it got my shoes wet as well.

My uncle lead the way and it was as if he was going to a marathon! hahahha. he walked so fast that me & kynn who were busily chatting and talking, lagged behind. We'd often shout to him "eh wait lah! walk so fast for what!" Then we opened the topic on how he took part in Big Walk and his participation in this company event which he had to run up and down the stairs and got forth. hahahha. it was very funny.

i cant believe i was scared of my uncle when i was little. he used to make this devilish face with his teeth then i'd be scared. (if you don't get it, i'll show you when we meet) i'd cry and tell my mom to make him stop and whenever my mum turns to him, he stops doing it. you get how irritating it was?? hahahhha. i was even scared to call out his name.

Ok i don't know how i got from talking about walking from geyland to eunos into my childhood experience. anyways, i admit it was a good exercise from all that walking. (imagine that coming from me. it's weird, i know.)

Ok, one last whole family picture at my house! My house had an open house and my home chef (mummy) made rendang, bird's egg sambal, kuah lemak for lontong type, burgerdil, paru/lungs, ayam goreng and serondeng sponsored from my grandma. hahahha.

From my house, 6 of us had to take the bus to our ustaz's house in punggol as the cars wouldn't fit all of us. I had trouble getting on the bus with the ever so ketat kain! yes yes, i gained weight as usual from previous years but thank god i could still fit in it. just a bit 'difficult' to take big steps. getting onto a bus from the ground is a big step. i almost heard a *ppprrreeaaakkk*. later become more sexy. hehehee. =p

Ok, that's about it for my Raya 2006. I doubt i'll update about raya unless i get the pics for the raya with my sec peeps. eh people, what happened to the pictures???
